Questionable improvement

As much as I app­re­cia­te The Atlan­tic – sin­ce they star­ted to use all the­se cryp­tic gra­phics and are over­do­ing it big time, I often deci­de NOT to read a sto­ry. Is that what they were try­ing to achie­ve? I doubt it.

Of cour­se I know they are try­ing to estab­lish a pic­tu­re lan­guage (»Bild­spra­che« in Ger­man), but frank­ly – it does not work. But may­be that is just me, the old-school newsdesk-grunt.
